Over 70 Years of Combined Library and Legal Expertise

Lisa Macklin and Kevin Smith are librarians and lawyers with decades of experience in library leadership as well as helping academic libraries understand and navigate copyright.  Lisa and Kevin met at a conference in 2007 and discovered how closely their educational and career paths paralleled. They were also in newly formed scholarly communications roles and each was the first incumbents in their position.  Their friendship and collaboration have persisted over two decades.

As we learned from each other and from colleagues, we also committed to giving back and sharing the expertise and experience we gained. This Copyright and Library Administrative Consulting website and set of services is our latest endeavor on this path.  We hope to leverage our expertise and experience to help YOU be successful.

If you are simply here to read the latest blog post, you are most welcome to join us on this journey. Our hope is that you find something that gives you a new insight or even inspiration.
